Citrin® K
Citrin K is Sabinsa’s trademarked name for a unique calcium salt of (-) hydroxycitric acid ((-) HCA), an effective weight loss phytonutrient which Sabinsa Corporation was first to standardize. Citrin K was first introduced to the health food industry as an all-natural plant extract standardized for hydroxycitric acid. This unique extract comes from premium, hand-harvested, Garcinia cambogia fruits grown in selected regions of southern India. The active principle of Citrin K, (-) HCA, is in the rind of Garcinia cambogia. Sabinsa’s patent titled “Potassium hydroxycitrate for the suppression of appetite and induction of weight loss” provides methods of appetite suppression, inhibiting cytoplasmic citrate lyase, and increasing fat metabolism in obese subjects, using the potassium salt of hydroxycitic acid from Garcinia fruit.
(-) HCA is recognized as a potent and competitive inhibitor of ATP citrate lyase, which is an enzyme, found in the liver that regulates fat metabolism. (-) HCA is considered an inhibitor by filling the receptor sites of the citrate lyase enzyme which will typically synthesize fatty acids leading to fats and lipids. When (-) HCA blocks the path for these enzymes to synthesize fatty acids the result is less fat available for cellular storage. Less available for cellular storage means less build-up in the liver and adipose (fat) tissue. There will then be increased amounts of energy at the cellular level to more rapidly degrade free fatty acids.
(-) HCA also suppresses appetite consequently reducing food intake. This occurs when the body begins breaking down food to carbohydrates then to glucose. The liver ensures that the blood continually has adequate glucose to fuel the brain with energy. Additional glucose molecules normally break down into fat and cholesterol, however; when (-) HCA inhibits the ATP citrate lyase enzyme the excess glucose is converted to glycogen in the liver. This excess of glucose and glycogen signals the brain with the sensation of “fullness”, subsequently suppressing appetite and reducing the desire for more food.
Citrin K has received independent GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) designation. The evaluation was based on scientific procedures and safety assessment criteria established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. (-) HCA from standardized Garcinia cambogia extract (Citrin K) has shown no acute toxicity or side effects and all clinical studies and is highly water soluble. Overall, (-) HCA enables weight management through appetite control, reduced food intake and inhibition of fat synthesis which in turn significantly increases physical energy levels, normalizes elevated lipid levels, increases the metabolic rate and spares the loss of protein in lean tissues.

Svetol®
Naturex has patented the decaffeinated green coffee extract that is obtained from beans of the species Coffea canephora robusta P. The plant extract has been perfected to a unique composition called Svetol, the only plant extract of decaffeinated green coffee that helps you simultaneously lose weight and improve your body’s form. The slimming action of Svetol refines your form, while its beauty effect harmoniously redefines your contours. Svetol is standardized in chlorogenic acids and 5-caffeoylquinic acid, which regulates the blood sugar concentration and induces weight loss.
The slimming action has been confirmed by two separate clinical studies. First the bio-availability of the active components of Svetol and second the effectiveness of Svetol. The first study results show a mean reduction of 50% (Glucose Tolerance Test) in blood sugar concentration in 60% of the subjects. The second placebo controlled double-blind study was carried out on 50 overweight people, of between 19 and 75 years of age. The results of this trial showed a mean reduction in weight of 5.7%. The study also showed an increase in the lean to fat mass ratio (LM/FM) of 4% as against only 1.5% in the placebo group.
Svetol first regulates the intestinal absorption of glucose by inhibiting the activity of glucose-6-phosphatase and limiting the release of glucose into the general circulation. This then encourages the release of triglycerides from the adipose tissue. Svetol will shut down the glucose pathway, causing the body to burn fat and use it as energy. Together with Citrin K produces a synergistic effect that will enhance the degradation of fat and bolster energy.
* Energy boosting
* Induces a reduction in weight
* Decreases blood sugar concentration
* Shown as safe and effective in clinical studies
Resveratrol
Resveratrol is a protective compound produced by grapes and other plants in response to environmental stresses. The “French Connection” with improved health among red wine drinkers in France has led to studies demonstrating that resveratrol has potent antioxidant activity and also has the ability to inhibit platelet aggregation. These actions may help prevent free radical damage throughout the body and provide protective support to the cardiovascular system. It is also known that red wine has approximately 1.5 to 3 milligrams of resveratrol per liter. Animal studies have demonstrated resveratrol to possess anti-aging activity, suppression of cognitive decline and anti-tumor activity.
* Cognitive enhancement
* Anti-aging
* Anti-inflammatory
Panax Ginseng Root Extract
The main active components of Panax ginseng are ginsenosides, which have been shown to have a variety of beneficial effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer effects. Results of clinical research studies demonstrate that Panax ginseng may improve psychologic function, immune function, and conditions associated with diabetes. Overall, Panax ginseng appears to be well tolerated and a great addition to our product.
* Adaptogen
* High in ginsenosides
* Immune Support
* Anti-stress
Trimethylxanthine
Trimethylxanthine is found in most energy boosting beverages. It is an essential addition, providing the boost of energy and fast results we are interested in. Trimethylxanthine is used as a mild central nervous system stimulant to help increase alertness, wakefulness, faster and clearer flow of thought, increased focus, and better general body coordination, as well as its ability to suppress appetite.
* Energy boosting
* Increased mental focus
* Appetite suppression
Aquamin
Aquamin is an excellent addition to our beverage product. It is rich in calcium for bones/joints, detoxifies, aids digestion/metabolism, and improves overall health. The calcium helps to control blood pressure, nerve transmission, and release of neurotransmitters and is an essential component in the production of enzymes and hormones that regulate digestion, energy, and fat metabolism. Thus, Calcium has also been found to be a fundamental component in a weight loss regimen and can help keep the weight off as an important part of a balanced nutritional program.
* Contains 74 trace minerals
* Calcium and magnesium increase bioavailability
* 100% plant derived
* Lactose free
* Enhances bone Integrity
* Promotes digestive comfort
* Relieves pain and improves mobility in osteoarthritic joints
Super Fruit Proprietary Blend
This proprietary blend of Jujube, Blueberry, and Euphoria, are all products that contain high amounts of flavonoids. Jujube, Blueberry and Euphoria are all considered to be Superfruits. Superfruits provide extraordinary nutrient richness with positive health benefits.
